Question : Problem: Deactivate PCI-Express-Graphiccard and use internal to save energy?

Hello

PCI-Express-Graphiccards deliver lots of power but they also consume a lot in idle-mode.
So my idea is to deactivate the PCI-Express-Card and use the internal graphic-card whilst not playing a game. Is this possible?
Does deactivating a graphiccard in Windows save energy?

Thanks

What you want is Nvidia's Hybrid SLI http://www.nvidia.com/object/hybrid_sli.html. Ati has something similar with their Hybrid CrossFireX but the energy saving power express is offered on laptops only. To get the power savings with Hybrid SLI you need a motherboard and video card compatible with Hybrid power. http://www.nvidia.com/object/hybrid_sli_desktop.html
