Question : Problem: error 737: loopback was detected

I created a dial up connection to my router, which will be PPP authentication.  but when it gets pass the username and password, I am prompted with this error????


error 737: loopback was detected



How will I correct this?

Answer : Problem: error 737: loopback was detected

Are you dialing into the router for administration?

If so and if using Dial-up Networking, check the box "Show terminal window" under the section "Interactive Logon and scripting" in the Security tab of your dial up connection.  This will bring up a terminal window to access the router.

You'll also need the following on your async interface:

async mode interactive

And on the line:

autoselect ppp
