Question : Problem: USB Devices within Thin Client Environment

Hey Everyone,

I am working within an environment that is trying to implement thin client technology.  The one issue they are having is how to deal with USB connections on the thin client hardware.  Let's say they want to have a high end scanner or a web cam or even a USB memory stick.  How within a thin client enviroment can these devices be accessed and utilitzed?  Assume that we are either going to use Citrix or VMWare (which the answer to this question possibly leaning us towards one or the other).

Thanks.

Answer : Problem: USB Devices within Thin Client Environment

This is a interesting question since I would also need to answer this soon. So Based on jfields comments, I did some quick searches and found these threads which could also help you make your decision:

Looks like with WYSE terminals you can use it directly, and if there are issues there is a product by DIGI is very interesting. Never heard about it until today!
