Question : Problem: Why Veritas BUE Ejects LTO2 Tape too early?

I have an issue with Veritas BUE 9.1 running on a Windows SBS 2003 server. The last 2 nights, the backup jobs have failed early and the tapes have ejected after backing up only 132GB of data. We have been successfully backing up 170-190GB nightly on single tapes with an HP Ultrium LTO2 drive and now all of a sudden 2 different tapes were ejected early almost at the same point. The setup/config. has not changed and the tape drive was recently cleaned with the cleaning tape. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I tried all 6 of the steps and verified the information you provided. After running the HP Library and Tape Tools with an HP Tech supporting, we were able to verify that our drive was bad and have been sent a new one. I do appreciate your initial suggestions.
