Question : Problem: Dell PowerEdge 1950 connect to PowerVault NF500
We have a Dell PowerEdge 1950 server. We are interested in purchasing the Dell PowerVault NF500 NAS. How do the two devices connect to each other. Do we need to buy a separate card for the 1950 server? Please be specific, I need to get an in depth understanding of this stuff.
Thanks to all in advance.
Answer : Problem: Dell PowerEdge 1950 connect to PowerVault NF500
The NAS is a server its just specialized for network storage. Now if you were adding something like a PowerVault MD1000 then you may need to add hardware the the 1950 but not with the NAS.
