Question : Problem: Comparing Performance of New and Old Computers -- Pentium 4, Core Duo

I have an old computer (1.5GHz Pentium 4) and am thinking about (finally) replacing it. Are there some sites to compare the current mainstream computers with it. For example, about how many times faster would a Core Duo 2.4GHz be? Somewhat apples-to-oranges, but any help is good.

You should install a benchmark program on your machine. I will allow you to compare performance with different components.
