Question : Problem: Syncing GAL on Palm Treo 750 with Exchange and Activesync

We have a director who uses the following....

Microsoft Exchange Account
Palm Treo 750 w/Windows Mobile 5.0
Wireless activesync

He is syncing his contacts, calendar and e-mail wirelessly... but he needs the GAL (Global Address List) to sync to his phone as well as his personal contact list (which comes over).  I understand this is a built in feature of Windows Mobile 6.0 but I'm wondering if there is any way to do this in WM 5.0 save making a copy of the GAL in his personal contacts which he would have to keep up to date?

Also his tasks do not sync on this phone... only the contacts, calendar and e-mail... why?

Sync of the GAL is not part of Windows Mobile 6. It isn't a feature of the Blackberry either. They all work on the principle of doing a live lookup to the GAL over the air.
If you want an offline copy of the GAL then you have to look at third party tools such as Add2Exchange from diditbetter.com
