Question : Problem: Guide to configuring OWA in IIS from scratch on Windows SBS 2003
|
|
Hi,
We are having immense trouble configuring OMA / OWA over Port 80 only (No SSL or Port 443 - don't ask why!) on SBS 2003.
Ideally, I would like to go for a scorched-earth approach, and reconfigure OWA from scratch, then bolt OMA (Windows Mobile) on top of that configuration. Can someone help me avert a coronary event and tell me how to do this, please? :-)
Config is as follows;
Server is SBS 2003 SP2; PDAs are MDA Vario III; ActiveSync is v4.5; Port 80 only is forwarded through the Firewall, straight to the SBS 2003 Server. 443 is not available.
Thanks for your efforts.

Its SBS. There is only one way that you configure SBS Servers - run the wizard. The wizard will configure everything for you. Any reason why you cannot use port 443? You do realise that means usernames, passwords and content going across in the clear?
Simon.
