Question : Problem: Restore IT! Professional

I installed a program called "Restore IT!" Professsional"... from an old software bundle that came with a N-vidia Gforce video card...I installed it, restarted, and it came up with the "Windows was not shut down correctly, if you think it was from new hardware or software, start in normal, if you don't know start in last working point"...then i can go to restore it by spacebar, but i don't know if there is a restore point...really hard to describe in text as I am on somebody elses computer because I can't boot up on mine!!!

Can you please explain the problem in a bit more detail:

(1) Which version of Windows do you have (I am assuming XP)

(2) Is the main problem at the moment that you are unable to boot in both Normal and Safe mode?

(3) What exactly happens when you try to boot in safe mode? what happend when you try to boot in Normal mode?
