Question : Problem: Computer Found New Hardware, but My Computer does not see it.
I recovered data from a damaged SATA drive, about 86 GBs worth. I purchased two new SATA drives, was going to copy the data to one and the second they will use for the OS.
My systems sais it's Found New Hardware, but when I look at My Computer, it does not show any new drives, I see it in Device Manager (Maxtor 7 L25050 USB Device), right clicking and choosing properties and the volume tab, I can populate the info, but I can't find anything to assign a drive letter.
Thanks

In Disk Manager, you see the drive itself on the left, and then partiton layout on the right. Right-clicking the device presents a different popup menu than right-clicking on a partition. If you see a partition there, right-clicking it should give you the option to assign a drive letter to it -- even if it is a partition that Windows can't use (like a Linux partition or something).
