Question : Problem: Can't re-use CD-RW's

My COMPAQ 8000T has a 16X CD-RW (16X/10X/40X) drive.  It will write CD-R disks and the initial usage of a CD-RW disks fine.

To re-use the CD-RW disk, I use the ERASE on Easy CD Creator 5.  It appears that everything functioned properly, but when I try to use the CD-RW disk, it tells me the disk has errors.

I tried to use MY COMPUTER (right-clicked), selecting FORMAT for the disk and if gives me errors.  This has occurred on many different disks so I do not believe that it is just a bad disk.

Roxio update to 5.3.2.34 has been installed.  I don't believe that it has worked since this was applied.

firstly try Nero Burning ROM. There is a cd erasing tool in that, you can choose quick or complete erase. Try both, one of them will work for you.
"This has occurred on many different disks"...i hope the discs are from different brands, because sometimes certain brands just dont work.
