Question : Problem: Can changing memory cause a hard drive crash?
|
|
Dell support??? (this is what they call it) claims that if I change the memory (which is faulty and under warranty) they need to replace my hard drive because the change of memory will cause it to crash.
This doesn't make any sense to me.
Can anyone verify or debunk this claim?

Nonsense . . changing memory has nothing to do with the hard drive . . you must have talked to someone deep in the wine celler in Bagledesh
Either ignore the advice altogether or call again and hope you get a different tech
