Question : Problem: Plug-in graphics card supresses on-board video

I have been working with dual monitors via the on-board ATI graphics (Sapphire Radeon Xpress 200) and a PCI Express RADEON X600.

After an incident, I am trying to rebuild the (Windows 2000 system). I find that I can use the on-board graphics output until I plug the X600 in. Then the on-board adapter disappears from the system. It cannot be found in under Display adapters in the Device Manager.

I must have done this in the past, but I can't remember how.

Answer : Problem: Plug-in graphics card supresses on-board video

You must enable the onboard in BIOS. By default it disables when the second card is plugged in.
