Question : Problem: Squealing noise

Every time I run streaming video - or load a web-page with lots of java or graphics - i hear a squealing noise come from my computer.

After a few hours of running my computer, it will start squealing all the time - even when it's just sitting there idle.

It's a very high-pitched squeal.  I already opened up my case to see if it might be a fan, but it is not.

I can't determine where the sound is coming from.

Answer : Problem: Squealing noise

Most likely, you're overheating.  Restart the PC, go into the BIOS and check under Health Status.  There will be some settings where you set the hi-temp limit.  Either increase the settings, disable the alarm, or replace or add another fan.  If the unit is really dusty, you could be losing airflow.
