Question : Problem: Can't boot past memory check
While troubleshooting, I pulled a stick of memory from my machine and tried booting. It stayed at the BIOS information screen. So, I put the stick back in and booted back up. Again, it stayed at the BIOS information screen. I hit 'tab' to see the POST screen and it won't go past the memory check. I have 4GB of memory and after it says "Memory Testing: 4193280 OK", it just sits there. I can't get into the BIOS setup screen or boot menu or anything else.
Answer : Problem: Can't boot past memory check
Unplug the power cord and rress and hold the power button for a few seconds.
Remove the cmos battery for a full minute then replace it and try to boot.
you may need to find out if your mother board has a cmos reset jumper if that doesnt work.
