Question : Problem: CDROM tray does not eject.
|
|
I have a LG 48X MAX CD ROM.
I am not able to eject the tray from the CDROM as it is jammed.
On getting it serviced from a local guy, it was found that the rubber-band inside the CDROM had broken, and it was replaced. And other parts of the CDROM were greased.
On testeing the CDROM in the repair shop, the tray was ejecting fine, however, when i tried to eject the CDROM at home, it didn't eject.
I know that the rubber-band i s at it's place. what else could have gone wrong?

try to get it to eject by using a paperclip in the front hole, while under power. if it does not eject, power down, disconnect the ide cable to the cd drive, and try again. if not - it is bad you can also have the guy look at it again . . .
