Question : Problem: Getting 2048x1536 with a MSI NX7100GS Card without the video scrolling

I have a DELL 3007 WFP 30" monitor connected to a MSI NX7100GS video card.  The card is supposed to be DVI-D and I am using a DVI-D cable but when I move the resolution to 2048x1536 (the monitors supposed resolution), I just get a piece of the screen and it scrolls with the mouse when I go to the end of the screen.  I wanted to replace two 19" monitors in a dual display with this one monitor but all I can get without the scrolling effect is 1280 x 800.  Any suggestions on how to achieve the monitor's rated resolution without scrolling?  It is driving me crazy.

Answer : Problem: Getting 2048x1536 with a MSI NX7100GS Card without the video scrolling

Where did you get 2048 x 1536 as the optimal resolution for the monitor? The Dell 3000WFP's optimal resolution is 2560 x 1600. Also the monitor requires a dual link capable video card and according to the manufactures specs the NX7100GS isn't dual link capable its max supported resolution is 2048 x 1536. Without a dual link capable card 1280 x 800 is the only other supported resolution for the 30" monitor. Here's an inexpensive card that will run that monitor at its optimal resolution.

It has 1 dual link dvi and 1 single link so you could run the 30" monitor and one of the 19" monitors.
