Question : Problem: On Windows mobil 6.1 on Palm Treo Pro download mail is timing out "Looking for changes"

I am using Palm Treo Pro, running a WIndows Mobile 6.1. In the last few days...I am facing the problem where the download mail times out "Looking for changes".

When I do a soft reset of the phone...then it works and downloads the mails. But after that it will be in the same state. Assuming that the problem could be with my GPRS server provider...I switched to Wi-Fi and still face the same issue. This confirms to me that there is something that is going wrong on the email client of the windows mobile.

I tried to search for any resolution of this on the net and on MS site...but in vain.

Actually found out...the problem is not with the mail client...but with the GPRS network connection. Once the phone connects through the GPRS connection and it doesn't disconnect for some time....found that mail downloading doesn't happen properly.

On Windows Mobile 6.1...go to the Communication Manager, and Turn Off the Data Connection....then the next time when the network connection is initiated by the mail downloading it works fine.
