Question : Problem: Ricoh 1045 only printing on 1/2 page

Hello,

Our ricoh afifio 1045 was not printing anything until I put some developer type 18 in, it was just outputting blank pages, but now it is only printing on 1/2 the page...

any ideas why it would print 1/2 the page of everything we try to photocopy and print?

You put developer in?
Where, and how much?
to replace developer, you should remove the existing developer, and replace it with a complete bag.
If there is not enough developer to cover the magnetic roller, you will only get printing at the front of the machine.
Did you initialise it?
If it is not initialised, your developer will probably go, because the toner level is not set.
Replacing developer on one of these machines is not a customer job, you need to run an initialisation routine in service mode, and there are many other things that can cause developer loss, a worn drum, a worn charge roller, etc.
This sort of fault is best left to a trained engineer.
