Question : Problem: cisco vpn and network access
I am having trouble with my vpn. I have 2 cisco 1721s and 2 networks. On the main site I have a 192.168.0.0 network and on the remote site I have a 172.168.1.0 network. The Vpn is fine from the 172 network I can ping Network Names and addresses but when trying to access data from shares it hangs or says that the network share is no longer there. The connection is very slow. I had this working perfectly with 2 linksys vpn boxes but we had to get T1s instead of broadband connections. I am running wins and using LMHOSTS fot theremote workstations, any idea what could be going wrong. I can post my config if needed. Thanks will

The link medium should be irrelevant in your case since you moved up to T1's. If you can ping back and forth, then the issue is most often name resolution. You have mitigated that with WINS and LMHOSTS files, but are they accurate? Are the remote WINS clients registering with the proper WINS server? Did any of the internal ip addresses change when you put these into place?
It might be beneficial if you go ahead and post at least one of the configs...
