Question : Problem: Which is better, APC, Belkin or CyberPower?

Hello,
My APC RS1000 has an internal fault and needs to be replaced. What I am curious about is how Belkin and CyberPower compare to APC. Interestingly enough, it appears that my APC only supports AVM in boost mode, not trim mode. I'm looking for a unit that has 1000 to 1500va as my power supply "currently" is a 460w dell (It's a XPS Gen 5) and I want to get an UPS that has nearly twice as much capability for expansion in the future. (I think I'll have a new PC while this unit is still under warranty, so plan for the future I say.) I've used APC until now, but I'm looking at Belkin and CyberPower and I'm curious how they stack up. Believe it or not, Belkin even has a Data Recovery Warranty! That was a suprise.

Thanks!

Answer : Problem: Which is better, APC, Belkin or CyberPower?

I used to use APC almost exclusively, but in the last 3 or 4 years have switched to Belkins -- primarily because their more affordable units have AVR, whereas APC's inexpensive units do not.

A friend who bought two Belkins on my recommendation had his home suffer a direct lightning strike last year -- nearly $10K of damage (destroyed two air conditioning units; their refrigerator; and took out a bunch of wiring in the main panel -- but BOTH of his computers were fine :-)   Destroyed the Belkin units ... but they did their job - and Belkin replaced them for free.   Needless to say, he's glad he listened to me !!

I currently have one APC unit and five Belkin units on my various PC's and HDTV's => the best ones are these (I have 3 of them):   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101225
(These units are often on sale for ~ $140 => but can't find them for that right now)

This is also a nice unit for less $$:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101219  (I have one of these; and one of the 1100va versions of the same)
