Question : Problem: Sound Blaster Live Value Sound crackling

Just finished re-installing XP on my system.
Latest Sound blaster live value drivers installed, sound crackles and sounds digital at random times. For as long as 3 seconds. It's very anoying. I've tried to downgrade the driver as well.
Driver version is: 5.12.2.252    7/24/2002 from Creative.

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer : Problem: Sound Blaster Live Value Sound crackling

This is apparently caused by turbo mode being enabled. Creative does not provide a way to disable this and must be done with a registry patch.
