Question : Problem: Single vs. Dual-Link DVI cable

Greetings all. Simple question I hope. Getting a new video card that has a dual-link DVI connector. The new monitor is a Samsung T190 running at 1440x900 native resolution. Do I need to use a dual-link DVI cable to connect the card and monitor? Or is a regular single-link cable ok?

Answer : Problem: Single vs. Dual-Link DVI cable

A regular single-link cable will be sufficient. Dual-link cables are used when higher bandwidth is needed - usually for widescreen displays, you can go up to 1920x1200 with a single-link cable. Higher resolutions, such as 2560x1600, require dual-link cables.
