Question : Problem: Flash error on Cisco router
|
|
I have a Cisco 2600 router that boots to rommon. I can't get it to boot the flash. I get the following error.
loadprog: bad file magic number: 0x0 boot: cannot load "flash:"
I thing the flash is corrupt. I don't know how to del the flash in rommon, and reload a new flash. Any directions?
thx, Allen Keene

Check the above one for a general idea of how to recover from problems.
Since your problem is specific flash image problem (bad magic number), you could use tftp to download a good image onto the router, take a look at the following page for how to do that;

First you need to have a valid image on a tftp server. If you don't then download it from Cisco.
