Question : Problem: Solid State vs Regular HDD

I would like to know what the pros and cons are of having a solid state hard drive (alienware) vs a regular HDD? The end result will be for a HDD to run streaming media from.  Please do not go over 2 paragraphs to explain.

Answer : Problem: Solid State vs Regular HDD

SSD uses a special flash memory vs a platter that spins.
Spinning increases the time to find a certain piece of data on the disk (latency) also called seek time.
SSD seek time is next to nothing because there is no moving parts.  SSD will also last longer because of that fact and is faster than standard disks.  Given all the benefit the drawback is cost.  They are very expensive at the moment but will eventiually replace standard hard disks (in my opinion)
