Question : Problem: What is the best way to set up my blackberry to receive emails?

I have recently installed an SBServer 2003 R2 and upgraded my mobile to a blackberry bold 9000. I am not sure how BES works or if you have to purchase it but I want a simple method of receiving my emails on both my blackberry and my exchange server. Can anyone help?
