Question : Problem: Convert raid0 to raid0+1
|
|
I have an ASUS A8N sli mobo with Nvidia raid on the board. it is currently set up with a raid0 on 2 WD raptor 74 Gb drives. I have been imaging the drive for backup, but can now afford a couple of more raptor drives, and want to convert to raid0+1. Can I add the drives and then re-cofigure the setup using F10, or should I use an image to re-write to the drives? Or is there a better way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Don

I use Acronis to do Imaging nightly and I have not been disappointed in writing to Raid arrays.
I think you are best off as you stated. Image, wipe, create, re-image.
Funny: FYI- I have been using raptors for almost 2 years now. Gotta love em. I have 2 74gb's but split them. 1 for my wifes system drive and one on mine. I originally had a raid one on 2 36gig Raptors and it was fast. I just run them straight up now. I just got an A8n Prem for a dual core 64. Love that 2. Great minds think alike...Good selections.
