Question : Problem: Use one VGA monitor between one desktop and one laptop
|
|
I have a desktop and a laptop (see tile). As the title says I would like to share one monitor. I thought of and found KVM solutions, but I just want to share a monitor and KVM solutions are a little expensive for what I want..
My maximum budget would be about $15. I just don't know where to get a cheap solution?

Answer : Problem: Use one VGA monitor between one desktop and one laptop

If the monitor has two video inputs, such as one DVI and one VGA, you can connect both and use the monitor controls to select which machine to display, or let it use autosense if the other machine is not powered on. Otherwise, you are looking at a KVM: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=HYK002&cat=CBL
