Question : Problem: Difficulties Copying Standard Data CD-R

When copying a data CD-R (that I had created myself a few years back) to a new blank CD-R, I received some errors:

I 10:49:51 AM ATAPI DVD A DH20A4P
Seamless Link Activated
I 10:49:51 AM Analyzing disc
C 10:49:55 AM The CD is copyrighted
I 10:49:56 AM Burn process started at 48x (7,200 KB/s)
I 10:58:19 AM Burn process completed successfully at 48x (7,200 KB/s)
I 10:58:19 AM Data verification started
X 10:59:19 AM Sector 553 on disc has different content to source
X 11:03:10 AM Sector 177072 on disc has different content to source
X 11:03:53 AM Sectors from 208979 to 208980 on disc are different to source
X 11:04:32 AM Sector 234874 on disc has different content to source
I 11:04:32 AM Data verification completed successfully

I have not experienced this before on my setup when doing CD/DVD burning before.

The CD-R I am trying to copy is a data CD-R created with Adaptec software (version 2.5 I think) and is not copy protected. Therefore, I don't understand why I get the "The CD is copyrighted" message. Could the fact that the source disc was made with Adaptec be causing any problems?

Despite the errors, the files I've tried seem to be accessed fine on both source and destination, but I am concerned about data integrity.

Could you please advise why the above is happening and how to correct it?

That can be ignored.

The data verification is the problem.  It's possible you have poor quality media for the burning.  I'd try with different high quality CD-R media and see if the problems still occur.  You can also consider slowing the media burn down.

Also give your original media a good wipe or clean as well.
