Question : Problem: Anybody know of software that will record Text messages sent from my step daughter's cell phone??

Hello all! So my wife and I are having multiple issues with her 16 yr old daughter... Suspected drug use, gang involvement, dating older guys....! Ugh! We're at the end of our ropes! She's already on probation. We both work long hours, so its necessary for her to have a cell phone. One idea that we had was installing some type of software on her phone (one she wouldn't be aware of if possible) that would record her text messages sent and received since she mostly texts rather than talks. Anybody know of any reputable software out there that will do this? I know we could do a thousand other things, but we'd really like to catch her red handed to eliminate her being able to lie her way out of things for the thousanth time.

My best recommendation is to allow her little unsupervised time alone... for a period of time when my older child was a teen and still in the house, we even had an open door policy - the door to the bedrooms were supposed to be open except when changing clothes, etc. (and computer screen turned so it could be seen from doorway).

A service which provides what you describe above is My Mobile Watchdog (http://www.mymobilewatchdog.com/). However, I will caution you that if she finds it, further damage to your relationship is likely.

Also, it seems you've asked a couple of other cell phone related questions - have you been straight with us in all of these questions?
