Tonight, I upgraded a client's Poweredge 1800 by adding 2 1GB sticks to a memory configuration that already included 4 512MB sticks. I put the 1GB sticks in the slots A1 & A2 and moved the other 4 to the 4 existing slots. Setup shows 4GB RAM, and Dells Open Manager after system is up shows 4GB RAM.
BUT, if I go to task mgr it says 3.4GB of memory and if I go to Properties of My Computer, it says 3.25GB of RAM. The OS is Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003. Anybody know where my 750MB went?
