Question : Problem: No surround sound wit Realtek HD Audio

Hi everybody. I just got a new medusa headset (51. surround) It works it the REALTEK AUDIO MANAGER (when i klick the different speakers...) As front speakers I connected my normal stereo Speakers. When i play a movie or a song it just plays from the front speakers... got newest drivers.. anybody know what to do to get surround?

Answer : Problem: No surround sound wit Realtek HD Audio

The movie or song has to have been recorded for surround sound too. If you play a DVD you usually get a menu at the beginning where you select the settings you want to use, and here you'd select 5.1 surround sound if it is available.
