Question : Problem: How do I know if a video card will work in my computer?

I have a nvidia fx 3700.  How do I know if it will work in my Dell optiplex 760 tower?  there is a pcie 16 slot that the card will fit into but I am sure I need to know more than this.

Theres not really much more than that. Computers today are built very versatile. All you have to know is whether it is PCI or PCI-e. PCI-e will be a little smaller. If it is PCI, it will not work. Im pretty sure that this is PCI-e, your computer must have PCI-e, and I think it does because it is newer. Check here to see the computer slots, which it DOES have a PCI-e

and go here to look at tech specs of the card, if it is PCI as well, make sure there is some leadway for the card to be inserted so it gets the correct air limit.
