Question : Problem: Sharing scanner over a LAN

I have set up a two computer home network and I was wondering if there was any way to share my 5100C scanner over the LAN. The software which was included doesn not have any sort of sharing option. I am using W98SE on both computers.

The software for the 5100C does not support sharing the scanner over a LAN.  HP has two scanners - the 6200C and the 6300C - that have LanScan software built into the scanning software and can be shared on a LAN.
