Question : Problem: Computer powers off all the time, even when I choose restart.

Hello, whenever I install a new program or even when I just try to restart my computer 90% of the time the computer powers off instead of restarting. Now here's  the problem. When I turn it back on, I see the lights go on like normal, but then it just sits there and never loads up. The only way I can get it to load up again is if I unplug the power cord from the back then while it's still unplugged, I have to push the power button. For a second I see the lights flicker (I think it's draining whatever power is left in the computer), Then I plug the power cord back in, hit the power button and then it loads up normally. I've installed different windows' and it still does the same thing, I've done it with no extra devices and still the same. Here's my specs if anyone needs them. Thanks.

Answer : Problem: Computer powers off all the time, even when I choose restart.

i would check to see if the APM features (advanced power management) for your motherboard are enabled. its a pretty new processor/mobo, so it should be available, just check if its enabled. then i'd try updating the bios. also see if the front panel wires are connected to the motherboard properly (like the power switch, reset switch, hard drive led, etc.).
