Question : Problem: How to disable TFTP on Cisco 1720 Router

Every time I log into my router from the console I continue to get the error messages
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg (Timed out)
Is there anyway to disable TFTP services?

Answer : Problem: How to disable TFTP on Cisco 1720 Router

Look at your current config - does the "service config" command exist?  If so, the router is trying to boot from a TFTP server.  This is disabled by default, but can either be manually enabled or can possibly be a result of problems with your NVRAM.  Any other symptoms or problems with this router?

Take a look at this:

Hope that helps.
