well my experience with mac book pros is that they overheat BADLY!!.. to the point the hard drive will overheat and fail... might not happen soon but it WILL shorten the life of your hard drive, now...
it's not bad to have it as an always on computer... but you need another option for cooling... i would recommend getting a laptop cooling pad that has fans that blow air onto the bottom of your laptop... and make sure it's in a room that doesn't overheat (room temp DOES matter)... other than that you should be fine!
