Question : Problem: Restoring SQL 2000 Database from Veritas Backup Exec

I am attempting to restore a SQL 2000 database using Veritas Backup Exec and the restore job jumps to 99% and then fails.  Some times it gives an error saying that there was an error loggin into or gaining access to the database but other times it doesn't provide any message at all.  I have several backups of the database from the last few days that have completed successfully but none will restore.  I need to get this back ASAP so any response would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe someone's changed the NTFS permissions? It's the backup exec service account rather than what you are logged in that needs permissions, maybe something has changed there?

Are you restoring onto the original server, has it been rebuilt, is it a local restore and why you are having to restore would help.
