Question : Problem: When I view my network connections, the wireless connection has gone away.

For some reason my wireless network connection has disappeared. I have a router and a 2.4 GHZ wireless-G USB Network Adapter that is connected to my 2nd PC for my wife.
I had a wireless connection, but now it has gone away. I tried everything I know to do but it will not show up. I plug the adapter into another USB port and still see nothing.
I think the USB network adapter is bad. How do I check this?

start, right click on my computer, left click on manage, click on device manager.
open network adapters and see if it's there. if it has an x on it, right click it and hit enable. if it's not there, but you see a question mark somewhere, try reinstall the drivers. if it's still not there, try plugging it into another computer and see if it works on that one.
'bout all i can think of this early.
