Question : Problem: Win 2K not seing correct HD sizes
|
|
My C drive crashed and I put in a new one, loaded Win2K (as on the old one) and reloaded all the programs.
Now I've noticed that BIOS is correctly recognizing the C drive as 300Gb and the D drive as 120Gb. But when the OS boots, I go to My Computer and right click, the C drive shows as 80Gb and the D as 57Gb.
Both drives showed the correct size with the old C drive and Win2K
What's wrong and how do I fix it
And if I can ask two questions at the same time, while installing the new HD the CD drive renamed itself as drive D. So now the HDs are C and E. Not a huge deal but a little inconvenient. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Yes, just put a 1 in. 0x1 is just a way to represent a hex value ==> NOT what you type into the field.
Regedit is fine, by the way ==> just so you modify the field correctly, it doesn't matter which registry editor you use :-)
