Question : Problem: Can't get past Bios boot screen on new motherboard install!
I have just swapped out an ASUS motherboard with a Biostar P4M900 and I can't get past the bios startup screen. The CPU is an Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz, brand new power supply (Dynex 400w)
I can enter the bios setup by hitting DEL with no problems and change settings, however, when I come out of bios setup I am still getting stuck at the bios start screen. If I hit f1 to continue, the machine shuts down. I've tried to set the machine to Boot from CD, but I still get stuck on the post scree. If I hit f1 to to contue to try and boot from CD, the same thing happens and the machine turns off.
The only messages I see are:
Press f8 to enable system configuration (no response when f8 is hit)
Press f9 to select booting device after POST (no response)
Press f1 to continue, DEL to enter setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
