Question : Problem: How to disable FTP on HP LaserJet 4300

I need to disable the FTP feature for HP LaserJet 4300. I don't have access via telnet to the printer, and I don't know why, port 25 is closed. I tried with Web Jet Admin but once I turn off the setting the change never gets applied.

If I use the http connection to the Jet Direct embeded web service (it's java) I don't have an option in there to disable the FTP.

I ran out of option.

Some advice would be appreciate it.

Answer : Problem: How to disable FTP on HP LaserJet 4300

The JetDirect firmaware has to be updated. Then you can modify via telnet the features.
