How do I view the contents of my backup tapes. Im serching for certain server backups, I have several tapes to go through.

I am using Symantec Backup Exec 11d for Windows.

You go to the Restore tab.  When you choose a job to restore, it will give you various versions of it (for the different backups you did), and within those there are normally your typically drop down box with a plus in it.  You can expand to your heart's content (with the exception, obviously, of certain types of database files, etc.) to see what's there.

It will also normally have the date of the backup above it before you do your expanding, so you can see what all is there for what backup.
