Question : Problem: Powerbook G4 not powering on
I have a Powerbook G4 15" that is not powering on. The Powerbook was knocked off the table with the AC adapter plugged in, bending the shield around the end that connects to the laptop. The shield was bent back to the point where it is usable again, and the laptop powered on successfully (apparently running on the battery and not the AC power.
I went through the instructions to reset the PMU, holding the Shift+Ctrl+Option+Power button simultaneously for 5 seconds, and checked it again with no luck.
The fall was only about 4 feet, and it worked fine afterwards, so i don't think there is anything wrong with the motherboard. All the wiring and circuitry looks fine inside of the box, so I am not sure what else could be the issue. AC Adapter maybe? I still get the green light on the adapter so it is recieving power when plugged in.
Answer : Problem: Powerbook G4 not powering on
If you were not getting a reading that is a pretty good indication that the plug is broken.
