Question : Problem: Dim Display - Improperly Connected Screen Inverter?
I had a Dell Inspiron 9400 with an image on the left 1/4 of the display and black 3/4 of the screen. I swapped out the screen inverter. Now, the entire display shows an image, but it's very dim. Adjusting the screen brightness has no effect. Did I connect the inverter improperly?
Answer : Problem: Dim Display - Improperly Connected Screen Inverter?
Possibly. Did you also replace the bulb? Your symptoms sound more like a defective bulb than a defective inverter. If you're fairly sure you installed the inverter correctly, replace the bulb too (it's much less expensive than an inverter).
