Question : Problem: PCI 64bit 5v slot question

Hi,
I've got a client with an old Prolient ML350 (generation unknown, its at leat 8-10 years old). They need an external storage Drive. We wanted to use an eSATA external HDD. Do they even make an eSATA card for and old PCI 64bit 5v slot? I'm not that well versed in the different card types and slots. I've looked up stuff and all I see for eSATA is PCI-x and PCIe.

I did find one USB 2.0. card that might work, but i'm not sure.

Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Answer : Problem: PCI 64bit 5v slot question

The biggest thing you need to watch is if the 5 volt Key (notch) is in the card.
Advertisers aren't always that great about giving the voltages.
If the 5 volt Key is there then it works in 5 volt slots.

An eSATA PCI-X (or even PCI) card is possible, yes.
