Question : Problem: Cannot format CDRW in Nero

I have NO IDEA how to format a blank CDRW in Nero 5.5 (when I am not adding any data). There seems to be NO choice at all for this function. I see ERASE RE-WRITABLE, but I tried this and it only took 8 minutes and did not properly format the CDRW disk which I am using in another burner to record audio onto. The format process takes 20 minutes. I do NOT want to add any data to the disk. All I want is to format it because I want to use it on another recorder which apparently does not have the format option(it is a special audio CD writer).

hi,

you don't really need to "format" a CDRW for writing new things to it. all you need to do is specify a list of files for burning and write them to the CDRW disc. the original files usually all disappear when I did this on Nero. in case they don't, all you need to do is select the CD and then delete all of them.
