Question : Problem: How do I connect to openSuse 10.2 with a persistent desktop using VNC

Hello,

I have installed openSuse 10.2 (I know 10.3 is out, but 10.2 is running on Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 where 10.3 had issues).  I am trying to connect using VNC to a KDE desktop, and have it persistent.

I have enabled remote administration and using the GUI opened the firewall to allow connections.  When I connect I only get a gray X11 screen with a 'X' for a cursor - nothing else.

Doing a google leads me to VNC is not spawing twm and then KDE when someone connects.  However, after googling around I cannot find which file to edit to allow what I want.

Cheers
