Question : Problem: HP 2510 Scan Wirelessly

I have been working for a month with HP trying to get the 2510 to scan wirelessly.  It prints wireless fine.  HP had me uninstall all and every firewall, as well as NAV. Even disabled my firewall on the router.

The printer will scan if I install the software as a USB connection.  (however, now I have installed the software as a Network connection)

I have a IBM Thinkpad - Win XP Pro - 512 Ram, 40 G HD.  Could there be a problem with the laptop or is this a problem with HP 2510?

I started thinking about this scanning wirelessly.  How does it know where to scan it to if I have several wireless laptops? (I only have the one laptop though)  Is scanning wirelessly even an option?  Did HP misguide by saying it will "Scan wirelessly"?

Take it back to the store and get a different one!
