Question : Problem: Can I Restore Origional Song Names or Descriptions on my Computer after copying from my IPOD?

My Computer crashed!!!! I lost everything. However my most cherished information is my music on my IPOD.  Is there a way to copy my music back to my computer and get rid of the IPODs weird organization names. I copied my IPOD back to my PC and all my music has names like aabe.mp3, aaeo.mp3, acsd.mp3.

Is there a way to rename them all somehow? Is there some sync program that allows the filenames to be updated? I think when I used Itunes it changed all the names somehow.

There's a freeware named MP3 Tag editor but I can't find the page to download it.
However most of the mp3 tag editors will recreate the name of the file from the information stored in the tag.
An example is this shareware.

You load the software, select the folder with the music, select the songs nad select rename file from tag.
How long it will take you will depend on how many songs/folders you need to rename.

Also if you install ITunes, it will read the tags not the names of the file so you can choose the song, how ever the file names will still be strange.
